SLANDER, Crankdat and Asking Alexandria Team Up For “Kneel Before Me”

SLANDER ventures into uncharted territory on their hardcore-meets-bass music track “Kneel Before Me” in collaboration with leading UK rock band, Asking Alexandria, and rising talent, Crankdat, on Monstercat/Sumerian Records. Opening with the notes of a sinister storm, “Kneel Before Me” evokes images of the Amazonian jungle during the apocalypse, filled with the sounds of the wild – grating mechanical synths intertwine with the shrieking of animals and growling basslines become one with the clap of thunder. SLANDER‘s cutting edge production style and Asking Alexandria‘s angst-ridden vocals give “Kneel Before Me” both emotional and dancefloor appeal, merging the best of heavy rock with the energetic and dynamic bass of dance music. The track has personal significance to SLANDER, as rock and hardcore music were the first genres they immersed themselves in as teenagers; they blasted bands like Avenged SevenfoldUnderoath, and Asking Alexandria themselves from their car speakers in their high school’s parking lot.

This kind of music is in our core and is where a lot of our other tastes developed from, so if you can imagine how thrilled we were when Asking Alexandria agreed to be a part of our new song with Crankdat!” the duo said. “Our goal with this song was to make our own rendition of hardcore music with dubstep at its core, essentially bringing our musical roots into 2018! Hope you guys dig it!

SLANDER has proven they are capable of so much more than a singular genre. Recently, the duo has been experimenting with an evolved, ever-changing sound on their original productions, proving their ability to produce both bass-heavy headbangers and emotionally stirring melodies. Pairing their multifaceted production with their charismatic stage presence, SLANDER has also made their brand “Gud Vibrations” with NGHTMRE into a bonafide lifestyle. In 2018 they sold out their Gud Vibrations Boat Party in less than 3 minutes during Miami Music Week, and the listenership of their collaborative Sirius XM radio show grows weekly.

In their own right, Asking Alexandria have earned their esteemed place in rock history by combining the innovation of modern active rock with the traditional attitude of the culture’s trailblazers. They’ve shared the stage with legendary artists Guns N’ RosesGreen DayAlice In ChainsAvenged SevenfoldSlipknot and more, as well as played every major rock festival in the world and headlined sold out theater tours. Their singles “The Final Episode” and “Not the American Average” were both certified gold by the RIAA. The music videos for those two singles alone amassed over 100M views on YouTube. Their third full length album, From Death to Destiny (2013), shot to #1 on the Rock and Metal charts in the U.K. and cracked the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 in the United States upon its release. Rounding out the “Kneel Before Me” collaboration with an infusion of fresh, bass-heavy talent, Crankdat is an American DJ and producer who soon will be a household name. He’s experienced early success with releases such as “Reasons to Run,” “Lemme See U” with Ghastly, and his popular remix of San Holo‘s “Light.” Crankdat recently released a mix for Diplo & Friends‘ radio show, further solidifying his spot among dance music’s rising stars. Stay tuned as SLANDERAsking Alexandria and Crankdat continue to break down genre boundaries!

Seven Lions collaborates with Blastoyz and Fiora for “After Dark”

Seven Lions returns on his own Ophelia Records with an old friend and collaborator in tow – Fiora. Together, they release After Dark – the second single off of an EP project from Seven Lions that features the vocalist liberally throughout. Joining Seven Lions and Fiora for Start Again is Israeli Psytrance master  Blastoyz.

After Dark is a thumping, powerful psy trance circus, pummeling listeners with a lush, dark array of synthesizer work. Fiora turns in one of her darkest performances to date, with her somber, deep vocal enveloped deep within the psytrance web.

Fiora as a collaborator dates back to 2012, when she was the featured vocalist on one of Seven Lions’ most beloved tracks – Days to Come. This will be the first collaboration between Seven Lions and Blastoyz.
After Dark follows an already rich history of commercially successful tracks on Ophelia Records – tracks like ‘Dreamin’ (also with Fiora), Ocean, and Calling You Home have quickly vaulted themselves into the upper echelon of fan favorites, making 2018 one of the most successful years in Seven Lions’ career.

The project will be released shortly before Seven Lions embarks on a 43 date North American bus tour called The Journey 2 Tour (tickets at Joining him on tour will be melodic dubstep standout MitiS, Anjunabeats mainstay Jason Ross, and scene newcomer Dabin.

Funtcase Puts a Grimy Spin on Snails’ ‘Forever’

Everyone’s favorite Vomitstep producer, Snails, is about to drop a remixed version of his debut album “The Shell” – and he’s given us a taste of the utter destruction to come with the release of Funtcase‘s remix of “Forever.” Funtcase rises to the challenge by incorporating a fresh dose of grimy, mechanical synths and face-melting basslines, which gives the producer’s legion of headbanging fans yet another reason to go absolutely wild during his notorious live sets.

I loved writing this remix, the original I was playing for absolutely AGES before release, so I was happy when Snails said I could remix it…hope you enjoy,” stated Funtcase as he unleashes this monster remix to the public.

The “Forever” remix is out on Snails‘s Slugz Music and follows up the label’s much-anticipated first release “Shake the Ground” with Kill the Noise and Sullivan King & Jonah Kay last month.

For his part, Snails has been relatively close-lipped about who else will be featured on the remix album or its exact date of release, but rest assured it will be filled with the gut-wrenching bass and metal sound that has become an underground cult favorite. As for the first remix release, Snails gives it the Vomitstep stamp of approval.

Funtcase‘s remix of ‘Forever‘ from my album ‘The Shell‘ is one of the biggest tracks in my set right now and seriously goes off every time,” he says. “I knew as soon as I sent him the stems, he would destroy it. I’ve been such a fan of his for a long time now and so stoked he put his own spin on this one and could be a part of the remix album.”

For the chance to hear the “Forever” remix in the flesh, head to Snails‘s Sluggtopia showcase at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 5th, where Funtcase will play a special b2b set with Cookie Monsta. Rest assured, this is one you don’t want to miss!

Following on from a massive third week celebrating Carl Cox’s birthday to a full capacity house, RESISTANCE Ibiza is ready to bring the action once again for Week 4. Last week, the King played throughout the night to a record-breaking crowd for RESISTANCE Ibiza, with over 600,000 tuned in via the BE-AT.TV live stream. It isn’t an understatement to say that Carl’s RESISTANCE Ibiza debut was easily the party of the Ibiza season thus far.

RESISTANCE’s White Isle journey continues with an exciting Drumcode takeover this Tuesday, 7th August. Label boss Adam Beyer will be headlining the night with an exclusive B2B set alongside Italian maestro Joseph Capriati. The Main Room is rounded out by Berlin duo Pan-PotIlario Alicante and the budding Layton Giordani.

The Terrace will kick off early at 22:00 with Brazilian DJ WehbbaEnrico Sangiuliano is set to make his Ibiza return with Ida Engberg following Sangiuliano on the decks and ANNA closing out the night.

RESISTANCE and Drumcode could not be more of a perfect pair for each other. The label’s signature hard-hitting and driving techno will truly test the limits of Privilege’s Main Room and Terrace when matched with RESISTANCE Ibiza’s strict Funktion-One only sound system policy, not to mention their cutting edge production.  With another special program planned for this week’s show, expect Drumcode’s emblematic sound and style to electrify RESISTANCE this Tuesday night.

Bingo Players Release Summery Music Video For “Love Me Right”

Just last week, Bingo Players (aka Maarten Hoogstraten) released the summer anthem “Love Me Right” on Spinnin’ Records. The record functions as a true BBQ firestarter with its filtered grooves and synths chords reaching for the sky – and now Bingo Players has delivered a fun music video to accompany the release.

The music video for “Love Me Right” is set at a retro pool party filled with flowers, smiles, and great times had by all. The girl who started the pool party has a suitor join her, showcasing the overall message of the song in a light-hearted way. The vintage vibe of the video matches the style of the song perfectly, proving “Love Me Right” to be an excellent addition to any summer playlist.

Known for breakout hit “Cry (Just a Little)” and of course the globally acclaimed smash “Get Up (Rattle)” together with Far East Movement, this Dutch act has since then been on the forefront of electronic music. Playing gigs all over the globe, headlining major festivals, while dropping exciting new singles that rock audiences everywhere, Bingo Players is a constant for quality dance music.
“The release of ‘Love Me Right’ is really exciting to me as I feel it incorporates the classic Bingo Players sound. The record harkens back to Cuts like ‘Cry (Just A Little)’ but with a fresh summer 2018 twist to it. I’m looking forward to fans thoughts on this one!!” said Bingo Players.

Introducing ‘Art of the Future’ – Over 14 Technology-Driven Immersive Art Installations + Final Set-Times Announced.
After a hugely successful exploration into art and music at Elements Lakewood 3 day camping festival in May, BangOn!’s Elements NYC Music and Art Festival returns to New York City on Saturday, August 11th to celebrate its fifth anniversary. Bass music heavyweight Bassnectar headlines the bill with downtempo guru Emancipator, British hip-hop duo Snakehips, California’s own Dirtybird Players with Justin Jay and Sacha Robotti and many more joining the roster. Elements also takes the experience beyond music alone, meticulously placing each artist at the stage that best fits their sound. Fans will be impressed by climbable structures and the Lotus art car by Eagle Rock Studios, an alien garden known as the ‘Galactic Green House,’ and ‘Pipe Dreams’ – a dark cosmic peep show hidden inside a silo. Other decor that is sure to impress includes pyro at the Fire Stage and psychedelic alien-esque trees growing throughout the Earth Stage by Chateau Brooklyn. Porter Robinson’s side project, Virtual Self shares the technic-Angel edit of “Ghost Voices”called “Angel Voices.”

After announcing the headline tour last week, the general on-sale tickets for Porter Robinson’s Virtual Self North America Virtual Self Utopia Tour are available today via The tour kicks off with a performance at Electric Zoo on Friday 8.31 in New York and stops in cities from Austin to Vancouver. More Utopia live dates on the West Coast will be announced shortly.

The Utopia show combines two sets into one — one set each from the two Virtual Self “producers”. First, a techno, 2-step and trance segment from Robinson’s technic-Angel moniker, followed by a mashing of gabber, jungle and hardcore from Pathselector. The immersive performance will bring fans into a world of mutated 2001-era warehouse rave complete with custom-built lighting and stage production that looks unlike anything else in electronic music. People will be quick to notice that Porter’s commitment to the aesthetic is just as effortful as his previous live shows, and it’s safe to say that this will be the most unique show of 2018.

A concept predicated on the influences of his youth, with Virtual Self, Robinson taps into an affinity for early 2000’s visual aesthetic, looking to “combine three tropes from the period that didn’t overlap much at the time: digital abstract, arcane magic design, and digital grunge, all into a single early-aughts flavor,” a thematic thread which weaves through both the project’s sonic and visual identities.

After captivating tastemakers with his 2010 single “Say My Name,”Porter Robinson released his debut EP via Skrillex’s OWSLA label in 2011, and signed to Astralwerks two years later at just 21. The next year he released his album Worlds, an expansive LP that includes“Divinity” (as heard in Google’s “Year in Search” commercial) and his landmark single “Sad Machine.” The success of his first release led to 300 million album streams and 100,000+ in ticket sales for his 2014 Worlds Live tour – including headlining stops across North America, Europe and Australia – and appearances at top festivals including Coachella, Tomorrowland and Splendour in the Grass. 2016 saw Porter Robinson’s collaboration with longtime friend Madeon for their successful single “Shelter.” The track garnered over 150m streams with the accompanying video, an anime short-film written by Porter, reaching over 30m views. The campaign culminated in a sold out North American tour, capped with a highly praised Coachella Main Stage performance.
