JACKAL’s Drops “In Love With Nobody” On Lowly Palace

UK-born, LA-based artist JACKAL, just dropped his latest track, “In Love With Nobody” on Lowly Palace, which is a follow p to his previously released “Don’t Come Near Me I Am A Monster.” JACKAL has been pretty quiet this year, working on new sound and this new track is a glimpse into his new vision of using his music as an expressive tool.

“‘In Love With Nobody’ is actually a happy track. It comes from the feeling of relief of being independent and having no feelings for anyone. The title is kind of an ode to one of my all time favorite bands The Smiths. I feel like Morrissey would totally name a track ‘In Love With Nobody,’” said JACKAL.

JACKAL is one of electronic music’s most dynamic producers, releasing nearly a dozen mixes and branded himself as a trap mastermind whose heart beats drum and bass. His career kicked off in 2013 with the success of “Shakedown,” a heavy beat-dropping original track with crunchy snares and 808s.

Growing up, the LA-based artist listened to mainly heavy metal, but around the age of 18 started exploring drum and bass, which ultimately led him to study music technology at the University of Canterbury where he began producing his signature punchy rhythms. The rise of Skrillex in 2011 inspired JACKAL to start making music full-time. He’s debut a number of tracks, including a release on Mad Decent with Grandtheft and an original collaboration featuring CRNKN. His music has been supported by other big name artists like Skrillex, Diplo, Zeds Dead, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Kill the Noise.
