“I’m thrilled and excited to start a new chapter in my career,” says Michel Petré. “To be working for one of the best music labels such as Ultra is an honor. I’ve known Patrick Moxey for well over 20 years and I’m truly grateful to get the possibility to work with him and his great team.”Patrick Moxey, CEO Ultra Music, says: “Michel has a fantastic track record for finding new talent and cigars. I’m so pleased that he’s joining the Ultra family as his services are a great boost to our knowledge and access to Scandanavian music and beyond.”
Max Styler has been on an extraordinary success route and has climbed higher than high this past year. Believe it or not, Max along with Australia-based Twerl have released together yet again, this time an official remix for Diplo & Lil Xan‘s “Color Blind” on Mad Decent/Columbia Records. The talented artists have taken the bass line and transformed it into a funky summer beat. Lil Xan‘s vocals have been preserved with unique and vibrant key sounds that highlight the reworks of Max and Twerl. The San Luis Obispo native could not hide his excitement when he talked about this release: “I was stoked to work on this track with Twerl as we’ve had a great workflow this year with our past two releases. I’m super happy it came out as an official Diplo remix! Hope you like it as much as we do” – says Max. The track was simply frosted with a little twist of Max and Twerl‘s creative masterworks, which saved the tracks originality. In the past, they both have worked together on a single called “Wasted Time” released on Elysian Records this March. As can be heard, their work and time spent together has amazing outcomes.
In just a few years, Max Styler has graduated from musical whiz kid to accomplished and seasoned producer. Since being signed on Dim Mak when he was only 18 years old, Styler‘s unique sound and impeccable production skills have earned him both commercial appeal and underground clout. His track “Roller Coaster” rose to number three on the Beatport charts during its first week, followed by the epic “Knock Me Down” with MAKJ and his three track “Gold” and “Deep Dream” remix package. Last year, he experimented with whimsical melodies and vocals on “Secrets” featuring CXLOE and “Heroes” with Nevve, before putting out the dancefloor-friendly “All Your Love” as his first track of 2018. If one thing is for sure, Max Styler is always evolving. Just two weeks ago he released his collaborative single with KRANE – “Changes“, and then (only 3 days later) teamed up with Steve Aoki, Deorro, and MAKJ for “Shakalaka” on Ultra Records. We can’t wait to be along for the ride.

Seemingly ever extending an impressive run of memorable singles to soundtrack 2018, SLANDERreturn today with their latest, “So Long“, a see-ya-never anthem penned with American Idolfinalist Juliana Chahayed. Initially emerging as a shy day-dreamy headphone jam, the tune quickly gains confidence, propelled by a driving backbeat that lifts off to a bursting full bloomed realization, revealing itself as a bouncy tropical tinged summer jam of self empowerment. Opting to eschew the harder sides of their sound for a skillful touch that perfectly compliments the “catch flights, not feels” sentiment of Chahayed‘s lyrics, SLANDER instead showcase the power of restraint, with infectious end results that land squarely on the target of infinite replayability. Good luck with your future ex, because they’re blasting this one with the top down till they can’t even remember your name. “So Long” is out now on Monstercat.
SLANDER first made waves in the scene when they debuted their remix of Showtek‘s “We Like to Party” in 2014, coining their unique sound. However, SLANDER has proven they are capable of so much more than remixes and a singular genre. The duo made waves with their original productions and an evolved sound, as recently evidenced on “Welcome To The Fire” with Sullivan King, “I Can’t Escape” with SAYMYNAME featuring Feli Ferraro and “Happy Now“. Their ability to produce both bass-heavy headbangers and emotionally stirring melodies distinguishes them as talented, multifaceted producers, not to mention their charismatic stage presence. Together with NGHTMRE, SLANDER has made their “Gud Vibrations” event concept into a bonafide lifestyle. In 2018 they sold out their Miami Music Week’s Gud Vibrations Boat Party in less than 3 minutes, and continue to branch out and grow their brand. This is only the beginning for SLANDER, so stay tuned to see what they have up their sleeve next
