YDG RETURNS FROM FRESH BLOOD VOL. 2 WITH HEAVY “WARLORDS”

Returning to the Buygore Records sub label Fresh Blood comes a familiar face from the 2017 Fresh Blood Vol. 2 compilation widely known as YDG. Fully loaded with heavy vibrations, a hard industrial feel, and intricate sound designs, YDG’s latest musical effort “Warlords” melds the auditory with the visual. While straying away from his debut Fresh Blood release
“1234”, YDG’s new single illustrates his adeptness in producing a boundless range of sounds.

Hooking listeners with a horrific, piercing ringing, “Warlords” is a
culmination of bass heavy elements spliced together for a well-crafted
masterpiece. What sounds like violent basslines rotating on an axel helps sustain the aggressive energy level throughout the track. Oscillating builds and arpeggiated synths dive into an eerie interlude, yielding a suspenseful sensation as listeners prepare for the explosive conclusion. Possessing a powerful electronic feel, YDG’s “Warlords” displays the jagged edge of experimental bass music, coming to the Fresh Blood imprint on April 17th.

NEWCOMER SUBDOCTA MAKES FRESH BLOOD DEBUT WITH NEW SINGLE “SKELETON KEY”

Aiming to provide a platform for artists of all calibers, the Buygore Records sub label Fresh Blood says hello to a new face known as SubDocta. In this debut single, “Skeleton Key” is an attention grabbing, dub heavy sonic concoction introducing the darker, more innovative side of electronic
music.

Opening with a slow-burning introduction, “Skeleton Key” dives head first into a deep abyss of phlegmatic wobbles and ravenous rhythms. SubDocta successfully delivers a smooth blend of metallicsounds, speaker rattling basslines, and eerie melodies keeping the listeners on their toes. Releasing on April 10th via Buygore’s Fresh Blood imprint, “Skeleton Key” illustrates experimentation at it’s finest.

SubDocta is known for throwing down his own brand of dubstep, trap, and hybrid styles too odd for the typical nightclub scene. His eclectic taste and production skills have landed him performances at festivals and shows throughout the west and beyond including Lucidity, The Bounce, Emissions Bass Culture, Enchanted Forest, The Untz, StillDream, The Pirate Party,
and Bass Camp multiple years in a row. With releases on labels such as MalLabel and ShadowtrixMusic, plus with Bassnectar supporting his songs, he has proven himself worthy of our ever-growing scene. Look forward to forthcoming singles, EPs and heavy festival/touring performances in 2018; SubDocta is on his way up.

Niveau Zero x Holly – Are We Alone?

Following his latest Fresh Blood release with his 2017 ‘Beijing’ EP, the Portugal-based producer Holly returns to the Buygore Records sub-label with a new sound. Recruiting fellow Fresh Blood artist Niveau Zero, “Are We Alone” is a fiery crossover of global influences from Portugal to France.

Holly is coming back stronger than ever in “Are We Alone?”; splicing together the multi-layered sound design Holly is known for while Niveau Zero’s harder edge delivers an industrial vibe to the track, these two are without a doubt a dangerous duo. JON CASEY BRINGS NEW NOISE FROM SOUTH AFRICA WITH NEW ‘6 CALIBER’ EP

With an ever-expanding global soundscape, there is an unlimited reserve of new sounds and up-and-coming artists from around the world. Buygore Records’ Fresh Blood sub-label has welcomed some of the underground bass music scene’s most promising of 2017; as we begin the new year, it feels more than fitting to expand the Fresh Blood roster for a hidden gem from South Africa. Operating under the moniker Jon Casey, our next release gives listeners a palatable sampling of tunes that reflect his inner maestro in his forthcoming ‘6 Caliber’ EP.

The forthcoming ‘6 Caliber’ project is the first of its kind on the Fresh Blood imprint. Straying away from the typical dubstep-centric releases, Jon Casey’s four-track installment introduces a variety of rap-infused, experimental-style beats from the underground. Each track on the EP enfolds another facet of Jon Casey’s production skillset. “Flexin’” featuring LA-based rapper Macntaj gives ‘6 Caliber’ a robust preamble, fusing together elements of hip-hop, rap, and freeform trap rhythms. Jon Casey’s ‘6 Caliber’ is also home to three new collaborators. Featuring Philadelphia-based hip hop artist Abrax Phaeton on the bass heavy track entitled “Get Right”, as well as Jetset and Magmag on “Chainsaw”, it is clear that Casey’s skillfulness reaches new heights with every release.

Hailing from Pretoria, South Africa, Casey’s ‘6 Caliber’ EP is set to be the first Fresh Blood release of the new year. The self-taught bedroom music producer may only be 21-years-old, but he is entering 2018 with a promising start. After bringing his unique sound design from South America to the U.S., Jon Casey does not disappoint in his forthcoming Fresh Blood release.
