KAYA FEST Announces “Education Before Recreation” Symposium & Set Times

A free symposium discussing the many uses and benefits of the cannabis plant as well the new California laws and regulations.

On April 27th, KAYA FEST will present Education Before Recreation–a free symposium discussing the many uses and benefits of the cannabis plant as well the new California laws and regulations. Moderated by Donisha Prendergast and Preston Whitfield, the symposium will take place at the Doubletree by Hilton (285 East Hospitality Lane, San Bernardino CA) from noon to 5pm. Additional guest speakers include Founder & President of EVO Hemp Ari Sherman,Co-Founder of Gold Mountain Distribution Ariana Tibbets, and more.

“The purpose of the gathering as well, music brings people together of course, but we still have a greater cause we serve which is this plant called cannabis and the various different benefits of this plant, which some people know and some people don’t know,” said Kaya Fest Founder, Stephen Marley.

Produced by Fruit of Life Productions and OneRise Entertainment, KAYA FESTis a two-day music and awareness festival being held at NOS Events Center this weekend on April 28 & 29 in Southern California. The festival honors the legacy of legendary musician and humanitarian Bob Marley and will kick off Saturday, April 28 with must-see performances by Stephen Marley, Ziggy Marley, Damian Marley, Julian Marley, Ky-Mani Marley performing together for the first time in over a decade in Southern California. On April 29, Stephen Marley will perform a special acoustic Kaya album tribute with his brothers Damian, Julian and Ky-Mani joining.  Both days will feature some of the most unique and respected artists in reggae-influenced hip-hop, R&B, Latin and world music today.
“Kaya Fest is the next platform that we use to bring people together, teach them, tell them the truth, you know. Not all miracles come from the sky. Some miracles come from the earth and herb is one of those,” said Marley.
