Rezz Drops New Single “Flying Octopus”

REZZ has made available her new single “Flying Octopus,”the third track following “Witching Hour” and “H E X” from her upcoming new album Certain Kind Of Magic (out August 3 on mau5trap).  Says REZZ of the song, “It’svery chill. Not headbang worthy by any means, more like ‘building a puzzle’ music or like a bunch of flying octopus’ floating around…”
To accompany the song, REZZ teamed with Ireland’s Pink Kong Studios for its video.  The animated piece features an octopus receiving messages from REZZ in a bottle to help him map out a way to fly to her on Neptune. Using the help of his friends, this is all made possible.
Meanwhile, this past Tuesday, July 17, REZZ showcased her new body of work at a special event at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA.  A small group of industry and fans from The Cult of REZZ were privy to a private magic show followed by an exclusive listening of the album.  In attendance were The Glitch Mob, DESTRUCTO, Tokimonsta and mau5trap artist Rinzen.
CERTAIN KIND OF MAGIC-which also features collaborations with emerging artists like Deathpact, Kotek, 13 and Fytch, adding to the battery of her menacing productions–follows REZZ‘ 2017 full-length debut Mass Manipulation (mau5trap) which brimmed with the innovative singles and collaborations that consistently portray the menacing soundscapes she is known for and truly showcased her forward-thinking and unique mentality. The worldwide critical acclaim from the likes of Billboard (who dubbed her Billboard Dance Breakout Artist of the Year), MixmagDancing Astronaut, and many more is testament to the fact that REZZ has truly become a tastemaker and trendsetter in the industry.

Rezz Releases “H E X” With 1788-L

Leading into the release of CERTAIN KIND OF MAGIC, her second artist album due out August 3 on mau5trap, Canadian electronic producer REZZ has made available her new single “H E X” today, June 29. Joining her on the new song is new artist 1788-L.

THE GLITCH MOB RELEASE REZZ REMIX OF ‘I COULD BE ANYTHING’ (FEAT. ELOHIM)

Los Angeles-based trio The Glitch Mob, comprised of Boreta (Justin Boreta), edIT (Ed Ma), and Ooah (Joshua Mayer), have become one of the worlds’ most beloved live electronic acts, and are set to take their talents overseas April 2018, having already sold out shows in Paris, London and Berlin.
Ahead of their cross continental journey, the LA-based group have released a stunning remix from Canadian DJ and producer Isabelle Rezazadeh aka REZZ. The rising star has taken the industry by storm with her ground-breaking releases, notably snatching up the crown as Billboard Dance’s Breakout Artist in 2017. Her interpretation of The Glitch Mob’s track ‘I Could Be Anything’ (Feat. Elohim) is nothing less than astonishing. A distinctive bass drum permeates the intro of the cut, ultimately intertwining with Glitch Mob’s core production and Elohim’s hovering vocals. The track moves effortlessly toward an analog heavy drop that is sure to captivate listeners across both distinct fanbases.
I’m a fan of both artists [The Glitch Mob, Elohim] & when I was sent the original song, I wanted to give it my own twist.’  REZZ
The video for the REZZ remix of ‘I Could Be Anything’ (Feat. Elohim) is also available to watch now. Another impressive creation from the pioneering trio, the video was crafted alongside the geniuses at Strangeloop Studios. Fans can expect psychedelic visuals and an array of truly mesmerising animations throughout their upcoming world tour.
It’s an honor to present the REZZ remix of our new track with Elohim. We are big fans of REZZ — there’s a natural harmony between our sounds. The music speaks for itself.’
– The Glitch Mob

Rezz Announces ‘Mass Manipulation’ Comic Book

With the help of illustrator and animator Luis Colindres, rising dance music superstar REZZ has brought her extraterrestrial ‘Mass Manipulation’ album to life in the form of a 60-page comic book. The comic book is available for pre-order now, and is accompanied with the release of an animated music video for ‘Premonition,’ giving viewers a sneak peek of the comic book storyline.

Luis Colindres and I created ‘Mass Manipulation’ as a 60-page comic book to help tell the story of my album.  It shows REZZ arriving from Neptune to mass manipulate and hypnotize planet earth. Accompanying the comic book is an animated music video for ‘Premonition’, which features images and highlights from the comic book,” said Rezz

Playing a young alien from Neptune who crash lands on Earth, REZZ befriends two earthlings as they discover her incredible innate ability; hypnosis through music. The comic invites readers to step into the psychedelic world of REZZ as she embarks on a mind-bending journey to manipulate the masses and ultimately achieve her final mission, bringing peace and love to earth. Paired with a lively music video to support the comic, both new and old fans of REZZ can now fully tune into the cult of REZZ.

REZZ has had a clear vision since day one, breathing life into the electronic music scene through her dark, hypnotic soundscapes while her audible, musical vision became visually interpreted with poise and accuracy by Chicago based illustrator Luis Colindres.  Colindres began working with REZZ on her ‘Something Wrong Here’ EP, and has been integral in setting her visual standard by designing the ‘Mass Manipulation’ album cover, tour art, and now the comic book and ‘Premonition’ music video.

The visual narrative appropriately titled ‘Mass Manipulation’ is now available for pre-order in the format of a physical comic for the very first time. REZZ will continue her ‘Mass Manipulation’ World Tour throughout the year, hypnotizing North America, Australasia and Europe throughout 2017.

REZZ Releases Debut Album ‘Mass Manipulation’

Rezz has grown to be one of the most popular Bass/Trap DJs in the electronic music scene, and at just such a young age, she’s already accomplished a lot.

The 22-year-old DJ started producing in 2013 and quickly boomed into one of the hottest female producers in the EDM scene. Some of her biggest influences are deadmau5, who eventually signed her after discovering her online. She also finds inspiration from Gesaffelstein, Alesia, Amon Tobin, Eskmo, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights and many more.

After teasing her fans by dropping singles such as “Relax” and “Diluted Brains” from her debut album, REZZ has finally released Mass Manipulation. After spending years studying psychology and music production at him in Niagara Falls, the album is the product of many happy accidents.

A study in hypnosis, influence and the mesmeric nature of music experience, this opus is an astonishing first offering from someone who only opened Ableton three years ago. In that short time, REZZ has already garnered considerable support from the likes of Billboard, Mixmag and Dancing Astronaut, and has played coveted slots at festivals including Ultra, EDC and Bonnaroo. With a sound that has been likened to French superstars Gesaffelstein and Justice, she has broken through the underground, landing on international stages.

“‘Mass Manipulation’ is a commentary on how easily our minds can become manipulated by the things we consume in society. We consume heavily through the media, which, in turn, tries to curate our thoughts and dictate how we as humans are supposed to live and behave. This album plays off this idea and invites people to become hypnotized, allowing their brains to be manipulated by my music in the hope they might see things through a new perspective (perhaps an outer world viewpoint). One where everyone is free from the unrealistic expectations planet earth has drawn for them. A world of acceptance and hypnosis,” revealed REZZ.

Through experimenting with heavy bass samples and unusual melodies, and collaborating with emergent producers 13, Knodis and Kotek, REZZ found she had eight powerful tracks she wanted to share. The eerie speech at the start of “Relax” seduces the listener into an intensely sinister, but altogether alluring state of inertia as we prepare to enter this truly mind-altering body of work. With the powerful kicks of “Diluted Brains,” the menacing, bass-driven “Premonition,” and the exotic flourishes in “Drugs!” REZZ infiltrates the minds of her listeners.

“Synaesthesia” expounds on the dub-heavy sounds heard in the previous track, a theme that is, through the heavy, subdivided beats in “Livid” and “Green Gusher,” manipulated slowly to bring the soundscape more within the grasps of experimental techno. With “Ascension,” the listener is brought rudely back to consciousness; this track is the amalgamation of everything that’s come before it, yet strangely distorted and warped, reflecting the transitional nature of hypnosis.

Rezz Releases “Diluted Brains” From Debut Album

Rezz has grown to be one of the most popular Bass/Trap DJs in the electronic music scene, and at just such a young age, she’s already accomplished a lot.

The 22-year-old DJ started producing in 2013 and quickly boomed into one of the hottest female producers in the EDM scene. Some of her biggest influences are deadmau5, who eventually signed her after discovering her online. She also finds inspiration from Gesaffelstein, Alesia, Amon Tobin, Eskmo, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights and many more.

After recently releasing her single, “Relax,” earlier this month with a tantalizing music video to match, Rezz, who is also known as Space Mom to her fans, is back with another single, “Diluted Brains.” The track is the second single from her upcoming debut album Mass Manipulation, which is slated to released on August 4 on mau5trap.

Constantly honing and perfecting of her enigmatic, bass driven, and minimal sound has attracted a cult of its own, and “Diluted Brains” doesn’t stray from this winning blueprint. As Rezz likes to describe her sound, it’s a “weird industrial bassy low paced and super rhythm based music.” Incorporating powerful kicks, syncopated percussion and rumbling synths to drive the track home, this latest offering is a testament to Rezz’s impressive commitment to quality and production value as she continues to test and push the boundaries of the electronic music scene.

With exclusive merchandise to pair with this particular release and colossal worldwide tour in the books, it’s looking like 2017 is quickly shaping up to be a big year for the Canadian prodigy.

Rezz recently announced a major world tour called “Mass Manipulation,” and will hitting cities such as Toronto, Montreal, Baltimore, New York, El Paso, Mumbai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Grand Rapids, Chicago, Las Vegas, Seattle, and many more.
