We’re “Running To You” With Slander and Spag Heddy’s Latest Track

After building a mint name for themselves through jaw-dropping original productions and massive collaboration with acts like Seven Lion and Asking Alexandria, Slander has recently added “label bosses” to their resume. They recently turned their popular Gun Vibrations brand into an official record label with NGHTMRE, but their “gud vibes” are only getting started.

The LA-based duo, teamed up with Spag Heddy on a brand new single featuring singer/songwriter Elle Vee called “Running To You,” which is out now on Monstercat. The 5-minute long single, which is filled with trap and dubstep beats, will be featured on Slander’s forthcoming The Headbangers Ball EP.

Slander are proven masters of fusing melodic and heavy-hitting elements to form divergent soundscapes, and they’re back with “Running To You” in collaborating with Spag Heddy, who is a fellow dubstep producer. The track showcases Vee’s ethereal vocals over a minimal piano melody during the song’s verses, lulling the listener int o a place of serenity; the commotion begins when Slander and Spag Heddy unleash the drop’s stabbing synths and grating mechanical bass lines. With its elements of light and dark, this track will ignite headbanging, thrashing dance floors around the globe.

“‘Running To You’ is finally here! We’ve wanted to work with Spag Heddy for a while now, and finally getting this one done with him was a truly amazing experience. For this song, we tried to blend our sounds together as seamlessly as possible by taking the listener from a deeply emotional moment straight into a heavy one!! We thought this duality of emotion really made the track feel special since it’s very two-faced and doesn’t sit in any traditional genre category. We hope you guys enjoy this rollercoaster! Also, be sure to check out the rest of Spag’s music! He is a mad man!” Said Slander.

NGHTMRE and SLANDER Transform Gud Vibrations Into A Record Label

NGHTMRE and Slander have been rapidly rising to the top with a combination of successful solo releases and collaborations with Wiz Khalifa, Asking Alexandria, Dillon Francis, The Chainsmokers and PnB Rock. When they released their original track “Gud Vibrations,” it transformed into a big movement including sold out shows, a lifestyle brand, a radio show and now a record label.

The two major bass producers take the next step in their revolution by turning their Gun Vibrations imprint into a record label, launching with their first single, “Deathwish” by WAVEDASH, which features vocals from fknsyd. The track encapsulates the Gud Vibrations brand with a medley of melodic and heavy elements; breathy vocals in the track’s intro give way to an assaulting array of intense percussion and heavy bass for an sonic journey that feels a little like an apocalyptic version of Romeo & Juliet. WAVEDASH has worked with NGHTMRE and Slander earlier this year on “Grave” and “Move Back,” making the trio a perfect choice for the label’s debut. WAVEDASH is set to become the first portage of Gud Vibrations, with their newest EP, Opening Ceremony, set to be released on the label later this year.

WAVEDASH recently dropped their second single on Gud Vibrations, ”BSTRD” featuring Quest,  which features gritty chords, a piercing bass, and a pulsing energy throughout that melds to form a body-jarring track that will absolutely destroy club rooms around the globe.

Gud Vibrations has many exciting things in the works for 2019, so be sure to keep an eye out on NGHTMRE, Slander and Gud Vibrations as the brand continues to blow up!

Slander And RIOT Release “You Don’t Even Know Me”

Shortly after dropping their metal-dubstep track, “Kneel Before Me” with Asking Alexandria and Crankdat, Slander returns with another bass-heavy single, “You Don’t Even Know Me,” joined with up-and-coming Israeli duo, RIOT. After this latest release, Slander has proven that they are capable of so much more than a singular genre, creating tracks such as “Happy Now,” “Move Back” with WAVEDASH, and “Slow Motion” with Bret James.

Although RIOT is still young in the scene, they’ve been blazing through their own trails by reaching Beatport’s No. 1 in the dubstep, hip-hop and glitch charts six times. They’ve played with renowned DJs and producers such as Infected Mushroom, Borgore, Afrojack, Nicky Romero, Carnage and more, and recently curated their own festival brand, Riot Festival.

The vocal bass ballad is built upon cinematic melodies that plunge into a powerful drop with smooth, yet reverberating, baselines. “You Don’t Even Know Me,” which is out now on Monstercat, feels posing ant and slightly melancholy as the production is complemented by emotive vocals, a touch that turns the track from potential dance floor hit to a cathartic club experience. RIOT gives their signature touch of progressive melodies and heavy bass-lines on the track giving it that perfect energy to create an immediate impression and memory to last a lifetime for listeners. With the song’s fresh and transforming sound, Slander and RIOT have definitely created a timeless fan favorite.

SLANDER, Crankdat and Asking Alexandria Team Up For “Kneel Before Me”

SLANDER ventures into uncharted territory on their hardcore-meets-bass music track “Kneel Before Me” in collaboration with leading UK rock band, Asking Alexandria, and rising talent, Crankdat, on Monstercat/Sumerian Records. Opening with the notes of a sinister storm, “Kneel Before Me” evokes images of the Amazonian jungle during the apocalypse, filled with the sounds of the wild – grating mechanical synths intertwine with the shrieking of animals and growling basslines become one with the clap of thunder. SLANDER‘s cutting edge production style and Asking Alexandria‘s angst-ridden vocals give “Kneel Before Me” both emotional and dancefloor appeal, merging the best of heavy rock with the energetic and dynamic bass of dance music. The track has personal significance to SLANDER, as rock and hardcore music were the first genres they immersed themselves in as teenagers; they blasted bands like Avenged SevenfoldUnderoath, and Asking Alexandria themselves from their car speakers in their high school’s parking lot.

This kind of music is in our core and is where a lot of our other tastes developed from, so if you can imagine how thrilled we were when Asking Alexandria agreed to be a part of our new song with Crankdat!” the duo said. “Our goal with this song was to make our own rendition of hardcore music with dubstep at its core, essentially bringing our musical roots into 2018! Hope you guys dig it!

SLANDER has proven they are capable of so much more than a singular genre. Recently, the duo has been experimenting with an evolved, ever-changing sound on their original productions, proving their ability to produce both bass-heavy headbangers and emotionally stirring melodies. Pairing their multifaceted production with their charismatic stage presence, SLANDER has also made their brand “Gud Vibrations” with NGHTMRE into a bonafide lifestyle. In 2018 they sold out their Gud Vibrations Boat Party in less than 3 minutes during Miami Music Week, and the listenership of their collaborative Sirius XM radio show grows weekly.

In their own right, Asking Alexandria have earned their esteemed place in rock history by combining the innovation of modern active rock with the traditional attitude of the culture’s trailblazers. They’ve shared the stage with legendary artists Guns N’ RosesGreen DayAlice In ChainsAvenged SevenfoldSlipknot and more, as well as played every major rock festival in the world and headlined sold out theater tours. Their singles “The Final Episode” and “Not the American Average” were both certified gold by the RIAA. The music videos for those two singles alone amassed over 100M views on YouTube. Their third full length album, From Death to Destiny (2013), shot to #1 on the Rock and Metal charts in the U.K. and cracked the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 in the United States upon its release. Rounding out the “Kneel Before Me” collaboration with an infusion of fresh, bass-heavy talent, Crankdat is an American DJ and producer who soon will be a household name. He’s experienced early success with releases such as “Reasons to Run,” “Lemme See U” with Ghastly, and his popular remix of San Holo‘s “Light.” Crankdat recently released a mix for Diplo & Friends‘ radio show, further solidifying his spot among dance music’s rising stars. Stay tuned as SLANDERAsking Alexandria and Crankdat continue to break down genre boundaries!

SLANDER and American Idol’s Juliana Chahayed Team Up For “So Long”

Download / Stream

Seemingly ever extending an impressive run of memorable singles to soundtrack 2018, SLANDERreturn today with their latest, “So Long“, a see-ya-never anthem penned with American Idolfinalist Juliana Chahayed. Initially emerging as a shy day-dreamy headphone jam, the tune quickly gains confidence, propelled by a driving backbeat that lifts off to a bursting full bloomed realization, revealing itself as a bouncy tropical tinged summer jam of self empowerment. Opting to eschew the harder sides of their sound for a skillful touch that perfectly compliments the “catch flights, not feels” sentiment of Chahayed‘s lyrics, SLANDER instead showcase the power of restraint, with infectious end results that land squarely on the target of infinite replayability. Good luck with your future ex, because they’re blasting this one with the top down till they can’t even remember your name. “So Long” is out now on Monstercat.

SLANDER first made waves in the scene when they debuted their remix of Showtek‘s “We Like to Party” in 2014, coining their unique sound. However, SLANDER has proven they are capable of so much more than remixes and a singular genre. The duo made waves with their original productions and an evolved sound, as recently evidenced on “Welcome To The Fire” with Sullivan King, “I Can’t Escape” with SAYMYNAME featuring Feli Ferraro and “Happy Now“. Their ability to produce both bass-heavy headbangers and emotionally stirring melodies distinguishes them as talented, multifaceted producers, not to mention their charismatic stage presence. Together with NGHTMRESLANDER has made their “Gud Vibrations” event concept into a bonafide lifestyle. SLANDER Flips Above & Beyond’s “Always”

Riddim” and “heaven” may not be synonymous, but they go together like never before on SLANDER‘s new remix of Above & Beyond‘s “Always.”

SLANDER amps up the original’s delicate, downtempo instrumentals with a percussive buildup and a melodic, dubby bassline – and the result is both dreamy and dance-worthy. The “Always” remix preserves the beauty of Above & Beyond‘s classic track featuring vocals by Zoë Johnston while giving it a fresh spin that is reminiscent of the vocal, ethereal dubstep of the earlier 2000’s.

This is the second track in which SLANDER has deviated to a melodic sound, following their recent release “Slow Motion” with Bret James. “Always” is SLANDER‘s premiere release on Anjunabeats, and we hope it won’t be their last.

Slander & Bret James Team Up For Feel-Good “Slow Motion”

While there’s no doubt that the duo behind SLANDER knows how to throw down some heavy drops, their newest release “Slow Motion“, co-produced with Bret James, explores deeper into their original melodic style. With layers of rolling, molten basslines and ethereal vocals, “Slow Motion” is a track that transports the listener into an entirely new world.

SLANDER expertly dissipates the pressures of daily life with velvety melodies and lyrics that are sensual, wistful and blissful all at once. “Slow Motion” expertly demonstrates their ability to continuously evolve their sound while staying true to their dynamic and unique style that has earned them a devout following of listeners. SLANDER and Bret just played “Slow Motion” to a packed crowd at EDC Las Vegas‘s kineticFIELD main stage. The duo will be making appearances for live sets later this summer, so make sure to catch them in a city near you!
