Slander And RIOT Release “You Don’t Even Know Me”

Shortly after dropping their metal-dubstep track, “Kneel Before Me” with Asking Alexandria and Crankdat, Slander returns with another bass-heavy single, “You Don’t Even Know Me,” joined with up-and-coming Israeli duo, RIOT. After this latest release, Slander has proven that they are capable of so much more than a singular genre, creating tracks such as “Happy Now,” “Move Back” with WAVEDASH, and “Slow Motion” with Bret James.

Although RIOT is still young in the scene, they’ve been blazing through their own trails by reaching Beatport’s No. 1 in the dubstep, hip-hop and glitch charts six times. They’ve played with renowned DJs and producers such as Infected Mushroom, Borgore, Afrojack, Nicky Romero, Carnage and more, and recently curated their own festival brand, Riot Festival.

The vocal bass ballad is built upon cinematic melodies that plunge into a powerful drop with smooth, yet reverberating, baselines. “You Don’t Even Know Me,” which is out now on Monstercat, feels posing ant and slightly melancholy as the production is complemented by emotive vocals, a touch that turns the track from potential dance floor hit to a cathartic club experience. RIOT gives their signature touch of progressive melodies and heavy bass-lines on the track giving it that perfect energy to create an immediate impression and memory to last a lifetime for listeners. With the song’s fresh and transforming sound, Slander and RIOT have definitely created a timeless fan favorite.

BOYS NOIZE RELEASES NEW SINGLE “KILLER” FT. STEVEN A. CLARK

Today, Boys Noize (aka Alex Ridha) has revealed a cover of the legendary Adamski track “Killer”, featuring Steven A. Clark HERE. The accompanying video is a remake of the original video HERE (dir LIL INTERNET) and was shot at the very rare location c-base in Berlin, which is “the mother of all hackspaces”! The area where “Killer” was mostly filmed is called the “airlock” and they refer to themselves as a Space Station.

Alex and Steven bonded over the track while working on Steven A. Clark’s album Where Neon Goes To Die (prod. by Boys Noize), which came out earlier this month on September 7th. The original version, featuring Seal on vocals, was an acid house anthem on the European charts in 1989 – here Boys Noize’s industrial techno take gives the beats an extra punch. “Killer” is available on vinyl, with the instrumental version on the b-side. Direct link to vinyl HERE.

Boys Noize about the track: “Being a 90’s kid, I kind of grew up with this song which later became one of these tunes I’d play out at the end of the night. When I met Steven and heard his voice for the first time I immediately thought of that track and the idea of doing a cover version was born. It was initially just for fun, but it turned banging and lit the dancefloors wherever I’d drop it – so here I am sharing my industrial KILLER.”

Boys Noize has been spending time in the studio with artists Lady Gagaand 03 Greedo, in addition to production work for ASAP Rocky’s Testingalbum and RL Grime’s single “Pressure”, both released earlier this year. Boys Noize recently announced his fall North American tour, stopping in cities across the US from LA, Denver, New York to Atlanta and ending with sets on FriendShip – tickets available now at boysnoize.com.

Berlin-based producer/DJ Boys Noize runs his own label, Boysnoize Records, with Oi Oi Oi marking the full-length album debut of Alex Ridha. Other studio albums Power, Out of the Black feat. Snoop Dogg,Mayday featuring appearances by Hudson Mohawke, Danny Brown, Poliça, and Strictly Raw Vol 1 and 2 and more, followed, as well as countless EPs and vinyl only releases. Besides his own work, he’s done film scores for Oliver Stone’s Snowden, and “Alarm” for Who Am I for instance. On top of this, he has his own side project under the monikerElax, a collaborative group Dog Blood with SkrillexHandbraekes with Mr Oizo, and a project with Chilly Gonzales called Octave Mindsreleased an album including a Chance the Rapper feature.

RÜFÜS DU SOL SHARES THIRD SINGLE ‘LOST IN MY MIND’

One of the world’s most celebrated live electronic bands RÜFÜS DU SOL share the third offering, ‘Lost In My Mind’ from their forthcoming album ‘SOLACE’. Highlighted as one of the most ambitious and gritty tracks off the album, it is honoured today as Zane Lowe’s World Record with Apple Music Beats 1, and comes as the band grace the cover of September legendary dance music publication, Mixmag. ‘Lost In My Mind’ puts forth a pent up desire for escapism and a true grasp for analogue sound-design, confirming ‘SOLACE’ as the band’s most mature and thought provoking effort to date.

RÜFÜS DU SOL has spent the past year in Venice, California, writing and recording their third album, which is largely influenced by the dichotomy of the stark desert landscapes and beautiful coastline of California. It’s a fuller exploration of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s ever evolving musical spectrum, a deeper dive and a more intimate glimpse into both melancholy and transcendence.

“It feels like a new RÜFÜS. We are inspired by our new home out here, by the people we’ve met and the music we’ve heard along the way. We’ve got a refreshed sense of ambition and cannot wait to share our creation with the world.” RÜFÜS DU SOL

‘Lost In My Mind’ arrives in the midst of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s largest run of headlining live shows. The band just wrapped a triumphant run in Europe with sold-out shows at London’s O2 Forum and Manchester’s Club Academy. Heading out to embark on a US tour, the trio return back to Europe for a string of dates in late-November, early-December across Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and London alongside Amsterdam, Paris, Cologne and Berlin. This news arrives alongside the much-anticipated release of the tracklist for the album ‘Solace’, outlining nine anthems sure to continue the journey set forth by ‘No Place’, ‘Underwater’, and ‘Lost In My Mind’.
